Dance clothes

Performing moves and poses is very difficult while wearing constricting clothing like denim, that’s why most dance clothes are soft and tight-fitting. Cotton is appropriate for practicing, but any sort of spandex exercise clothing is excellent for providing ultimate movement.

One of the most popular kinds of dance clothing is a tutu. Regularly used in ballet dance, these have an attached bodice which hangs down or starched and stretched out, which gives the dancer an elegant, floating motion.

Dance clothes should reflect the body-type and style of the dancer. Many designers/choreographer will put as much emphasis on the costume-design as the actual performance and they are useful in engaging the audience.
